Frequently Asked Questions
1. What age range is TinyTrax for?
The TinyTrax children's power chair is suitable for children ages 2 to 10/11 years old
2. What is the lead time after placing an order?
It will take between 1 and 3 months to receive your TinyTrax after ordering.
3. How long does it take to get charity funding?
Typically, a decision is made within a couple of weeks, and then a further 8-16 weeks to place the order.
4. Can we have a demo of TinyTrax at home?
Of course! We are happy to arrange a demo at your home. You can find out more about TinyTrax demos on our demos page.
5. What do I need to apply for charity funding?
Once your child has decided that they would like a TinyTrax, we will provide you with a quote.
You will then need to fill out a charity funding application form, which usually requires a short opening statement from your child's OT or physio.
6. Can I receive help with funding from the NHS?
Yes! Often you will be able to apply for your child's Personal Wheelchair Budget from your local wheelchair services, as long as you opt-out of their offering.
This process can take a while but speak to your Occupational Therapist who will be able to provide more information.
7. Does TinyTrax come with a warranty or optional insurance?
TinyTrax is a very robust powerchair, designed to help your child explore the world around them.
But sometimes things break. That's why every TinyTrax comes with a 1-year warranty.
If you would like separate insurance, search 'Wheelchair Insurance Providers' - many of these will cover accidental damage and maintenance costs.
8. Does my child's TinyTrax need to be serviced regularly?
If your child will use TinyTrax a lot, we recommend that you opt-in for our yearly maintenance service which costs £25 per year.
This is done from our Bristol-based premises and is a while-you-wait service.
Our yearly maintenance package is not obligatory and as long as you maintain TinyTrax according to its instructions, you should have little to no problems.
